On Sunday 24th November, Christchurch Age Concern raised £760 at a special event hosted by Fiona and Mike Cox at their home in Hurn Court, Christchurch.

Donations were received from attendees at a repertoire recital by Fiona and Mike’s daughter, Christina Jane Smith accompanied by Mr Ian Hope on Piano.

The classical music event lasted over 2 hours and included 19 pieces including Bach, Debussy, Britten, Strauss, Brahms, Puccini and many other.

Mr Barrie Kenyon commented afterwards

“ The evening was an outstanding success with fabulous singing by Christina in the elegant surrounding of Malmesbury Hall. Age Concern Christchurch are delighted to have raised so much money from such a talented local singer”
